Homemade Barbecue Sauce

Have you ever been stuck at the house craving some barbecue chicken but didn’t have any barbecue sauce? Well I have, so that’s why I’m sharing with you a quick and easy recipe that you can whip up really quickly so you don’t run into that problem. Even better, most of these ingredients you will already have in your pantry! Measure out all your ingredients and mix it all in one small bowl. And there you have it. You can store it in your refrigerator for the next time you need it. I used it as a marinade and baked some barbeque chicken but this would also be delish on the grill this summer! Barbecue Sauce 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar 1 1/4 Cup ketchup 1/2 Cup Red Wine Vinegar 1/2 Cup water 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 teaspoon mustard 1 teaspoon paprika 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper Mix all ingredients together and use anyway you would like. Enjoy!

Shrimp And Grits

Do you like shrimp and grits? Well, I live in the South and have never made them and decided that I needed too. I was pretty excited about how they turned out. It was probably one of the easiest dishes to fix. I picked up some fresh shrimp and mushrooms at Whole foods and went to town. I started out by taking the shells off and rising the shrimp. I chopped up 1/2 of an onion, 2 garlic cloves and a bunch of mushrooms. I sautéed the veggies in a little olive oil until they were nice and juicy. While the veggies were cooking I cooked the corn grits in water. It takes about 20 min for them to cook. I made a little extra so I could have cheese grits the next morning! Yum! After the veggies were cooked I set them a side and cooked the shrimp. Once the shrimp was cooked all the way through I combined the veggies and shrimp sautéed for a couple more minutes. Once the grits had cooked for 20 min I added 1 cup of cheddar cheese And one tablespoon of lemon juice Mix it all toget

Pinterest Pinterest and More Pinterest

It’s been too long that I’ve posted on here. I think posting everyday for the detox burned me out for a little while. But I did miss you all! I’ve been cooking but to be honest I’ve been cooking a lot of Pinterest recipes.  Yes, I’m highly addicted! I feel that it has caused me to be a little more creative than I really am. LOL So, to start things out I thought I would post a few pictures to let you know what I’ve been up too this past couple of months. We had a fun super bowl party at my sisters house, I made stuffed mushrooms and chocolate dipped strawberries. I also printed off a printable that I found off pinterest that we used to serve the food in. You can find them here. My sister, Jamie made some really cute cupcakes. I also decided to make chicken fried rice one night. This was my first time to make it without using a mix. It turned out pretty darn good. You can find it here. Next, I found an idea to make healthy chicken nuggets. I knew that was one of Kyle's f
